This Privacy Policy describes how Wizzride Technologies Private Limited (“Wizzride,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Wizzride Salary Bot Chrome Extension (the “Extension”).

Wizzride Technologies Private Limited is committed to protecting the privacy and security of individuals whose information may be processed through our tools and systems. We design our software with a focus on responsible data handling, limited access, and transparency about how information is used.

The Wizzride Salary Bot Chrome Extension is intended only for authorized employees and operators of Wizzride Technologies Private Limited. It is not designed for, marketed to, or intended for use by the general public. Access to and use of the Extension should be limited to personnel who have been explicitly authorized to perform payroll processing on behalf of Wizzride.

2. Purpose of the Extension

The Wizzride Salary Bot is an internal payroll automation tool. The Extension is designed to:

  • Authenticate with Google using secure OAuth
  • Read payroll data from a designated Google Spreadsheet
  • Generate salary slips for employees
  • Send payroll information securely to Wizzride’s payroll system at https://www.wizzride.com/
  • Automate payroll processing workflows for authorized operators

The Extension exists solely to streamline and automate salary slip generation and related payroll tasks for Wizzride Technologies employees.

3. Information We Access

The Extension accesses only the information necessary to perform payroll processing. Depending on your spreadsheet configuration and column mapping, this may include the following categories of data:

Google Account Information

When an authorized operator connects their Google account, the Extension may access basic account information such as the connected email address. This is used solely for authentication and to confirm which Google account is authorized to read the designated spreadsheet.

Google Spreadsheet Data

The Extension reads employee payroll data from the Google Spreadsheet selected by the authorized operator. Depending on the spreadsheet contents and column mapping, this may include fields such as:

  • Employee Name
  • Employee ID
  • Email Address
  • Designation
  • Department
  • PAN
  • UAN
  • Bank Details
  • Salary Components
  • Attendance
  • Deductions
  • Employer Contributions

The Extension only accesses the specific spreadsheet and worksheet configured by the authorized operator. It does not browse, index, or access other spreadsheets in the operator’s Google Drive account.

Extension Settings

The Extension stores configuration settings locally on the operator’s device, such as spreadsheet identifiers, worksheet names, column mappings, payroll preferences, and run history. These settings are used to operate the Extension and are not shared with third parties except as described in this policy.

4. How We Use Information

Information accessed by the Extension is used exclusively for legitimate payroll operations. Specifically, we use data only for:

  • Authentication with Google services
  • Reading payroll data from the configured spreadsheet
  • Generating salary slips
  • Submitting payroll data for processing on Wizzride’s payroll system
  • Displaying processing progress and run status to the operator
  • Improving the payroll workflow for authorized users

We do not use payroll data or Google user data for advertising, analytics, user profiling, or marketing purposes. Data is not used to build user profiles or to serve targeted content of any kind.

5. Information Sharing

Payroll data processed by the Extension is submitted only to Wizzride’s own payroll system hosted at https://www.wizzride.com/. This submission occurs solely for the purpose of generating salary slips and completing payroll processing.

We do not sell, rent, or share payroll data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties for commercial purposes. Information is shared only as necessary to operate the Extension and process payroll as described in this policy.

6. Google API Services User Data

The Wizzride Salary Bot’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data obtained through the Extension is used only to provide the Extension’s payroll automation functionality. It is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features of the Extension, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to users.

7. Data Storage

The Extension uses Chrome’s built-in storage APIs to persist configuration and operational data locally on the operator’s device. Data stored in Chrome Storage may include:

  • Spreadsheet ID
  • Worksheet name
  • Column mapping configuration
  • Payroll settings
  • Run history
  • User preferences

OAuth authentication tokens are managed by the Chrome Identity API. These tokens are handled by the browser’s identity subsystem and are not permanently stored by the Extension itself. Tokens are used only for the duration needed to authenticate API requests to Google services.

8. Data Retention

Payroll information read from Google Spreadsheets is processed during each payroll run and is not permanently stored by the Extension on Wizzride servers as part of the Extension’s operation. Employee payroll rows are transmitted to the payroll system for processing and are not retained locally beyond what is needed for the active session and run history.

Authorized operators can remove the Extension from their browser or use the Extension’s reset settings feature to clear locally stored configuration, preferences, and run history at any time.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect payroll data and Google user information. Security practices associated with the Extension include:

  • HTTPS — All communication with Wizzride’s payroll system and Google APIs occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections
  • Google OAuth — Authentication is performed through Google’s secure OAuth 2.0 protocol
  • Chrome Identity API — OAuth tokens are managed by Chrome’s identity subsystem rather than stored in application code
  • Chrome Storage — Extension settings are stored locally using Chrome’s storage APIs, scoped to the Extension
  • Secure communication — Data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols
  • Limited operator access — The Extension is restricted to authorized Wizzride personnel and accesses only the spreadsheet configured by the operator

While we implement these safeguards, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We encourage authorized operators to follow organizational security policies when using the Extension.

10. Third Party Services

The Extension integrates with a limited set of third-party services required for its core functionality:

  • Google Identity — For OAuth authentication and account verification
  • Google Sheets API — For reading payroll data from the configured spreadsheet
  • Wizzride Payroll System — For submitting payroll data and generating salary slips at https://www.wizzride.com/

The Extension does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or any other third-party tracking or marketing libraries.

11. Sale of Data

We want to be unequivocally clear about our data practices:

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not rent personal data.
  • We do not share personal data with advertisers or for advertising purposes.

Payroll and employee information processed through the Extension is used solely for internal payroll operations at Wizzride Technologies Private Limited.

12. Your Rights

Authorized operators and affected individuals may take the following actions:

  • Disconnect Google — Remove the Google account connection from within the Extension at any time
  • Reset settings — Clear all Extension configuration and preferences using the built-in reset feature
  • Remove the extension — Uninstall the Extension from Chrome to stop all data access
  • Clear locally stored data — Removing or resetting the Extension clears locally stored settings, mappings, and run history
