Loktak Lake near Imphal is famous for its floating biomass islands (phumdis) and the Keibul Lamjao National Park — home to the endangered brow-antlered deer. The Manipur ILP covers access; a small entry fee applies at the lake.
Loktak Lake is 48 km south of Imphal in Bishnupur district. No special permit beyond the standard Manipur ILP is required. A small boat hire fee or entry fee (₹50–100) is charged at the Sendra Island tourist complex managed by Manipur Tourism.
Access to the core zone of the Keibul Lamjao National Park floating within Loktak requires a separate national park entry — see the Keibul Lamjao guide.
